Meeting first blind senator
SallyAnn with Senator Floyd Morris, the first senator in Jamaica’s history who is blind. Senator Morris’s story of being born with sight and eventually losing it by age 20 due to glaucoma, has inspired SallyAnn. He not only attained a bachelors degree but was also able to acquire a masters and doctoral degree. His story shows that life is not about where you start, but about where you finish.

SallyAnn with Natassia Wright, co-founder of Mindfood International, speaker, trainer, author and one of the organizers of Empowerfest 2017. SallyAnn spoke about her life’s journey and empowered young people to see a larger vision of themselves, despite what life sends their way. SallyAnn is pleased to be associated with this initiative, as it supplied twenty scholarships to Jamaica’s youth returning to school this coming September.
